Kristin King, M.A., LPC-S
So often we live our lives "stuck". Stuck in the same patterns of thinking, in the same unhealthy habits, in the same problems in our relationships. Sometimes no matter how hard we work to unleash ourselves from these areas, we fail despite our best efforts to remove ourselves from bondage. The process of counseling can be life changing and is frequently used by God as a means of healing, of being set free, and of restoration in relationship. I want to come alongside you and work as a partnership to tackle and overcome your present difficulties.
With a background in both clinical settings and faith-based counseling, I have experience and success in working with individuals, couples, and families. I primarily treat those with relationship problems, spiritual issues, addictions, depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, abuse and trauma, adjustment issues, communication problems, and grief and loss.
I highly value the relationship with the client and frequently find that one of my best assets as a counselor is the ability to connect honestly with people.
I obtained my Masters of Arts in Counseling from Stephen F. Austin State University. Prior to founding the Freedom Counseling Center in 2012, I worked for five years in Community Mental Health. Other than my relationship with the Lord, I most highly value my amazing husband and three beautiful children.
It would be a joy for me to journey with you as you walk towards freedom and healing in your life.
